My kids are 13 and 15 and they slept with me until they were 12 and 11, respectively. I never let my kids "cry it out". I never understood why we should do that to children. I cried today and the people around me came to me and held my hand and put their arms around me. I felt loved and cherished. Then I stopped crying and I can still feel their loving like a warm coat.
